WHAT IS "THE BROTHERHOOD"?
As a club hockey program, we are proud of our strong tradition of competitive, successful hockey. We strive to offer student athletes a chance to continue playing competitive hockey while working towards a quality education and college degree. Our student-athletes are expected to commit to their studies as well as their on-ice responsibilities.
The Rider Ice Hockey program has grown substantially over the past few seasons. We continue to make strides towards our goal of reaching the ACHA national tournament and remain a top team in our league (the MACH), annually competing for league championships and regional playoffs. In our 2018-2019 season the program ranked 5th in the Southeast Region and ranked as one of the top 20 programs in the entire ACHA. We believe that every player serves an important role in our pursuit toward reaching and winning a national title.
Our season encompasses approximately 30 regular season games. Match-ups include home games that are played locally in Lawrenceville, NJ and travel through-out the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region; including by not limited to such opponents as Toledo, Penn State, Liberty University, Boston College and Drexel. Our program will allow you to balance academics, family, friends, and hockey. We provide academic support throughout your college career, including workshops on resume writing and job interview preparation. Academics remains a top priority at the collegiate level, understanding the importance of life after hockey.
Lastly, we strive to provide our players with a home away from home. The Rider Ice Hockey program is a family, emphasizing a commitment to teamwork and developing a tight knit bond among players, staff, and coaches.
